South Locust and 4th St., Ripon, California
Showing the conservative tradition of Ripon is this traditional public center used for a multitude of events in Central California.
The Ripon Community Center was a very interesting project because the design joined the 50 year old wood framed hall with an approximately 25 year old concrete tilt-up structure. It was a very high profile job which evoked much civic pride. Considering that everyone in Ripon acted as an inspector and there were multiple design changes, it turned out very well. The center was actually used on the weekends during construction for Ripon events.
